In
Indian market of trade, we follow eight digits code system in order to classify
the import and export goods at the time of shipping and loading. This Indian
system of classification is called ITC (Indian Tariff code). It was adopted in
India to handle various operations of internal import and export. This system
of Indian classification is based on universal HS codes used in actual shipment
data.
The
Directorate General of foreign trade is responsible for all the decisions and
new changes in ITC-HS codes (Indian tariff code). It was accepted in India in
order to accomplish the requirements of trade market at the national level. HS Code India is divided into two parts
i.e.
Schedule 1 and Schedule 2.
·
Schedule 1- The entire policies of import data
·
Schedule 2- The entire policies of export data
There
are total 21 sections in ITC-HS code classification that includes Animal &
animal products, vegetable products, wood pulp products, machinery &
mechanical appliances, instruments, mineral products, chemical products,
transport equipment and many more.
In
HS Code India, the first six digits remain same as International HS codeclassification but additional two digits are categorized into more defined
level. It is considered the most importance and useful method to identify
